At the start of the list is a somewhat recent drummer, several could say that he isn't actually a punk drummer and more of a heavy metal one but I differ, true he's fond to slow it down and do his metal fills but at heart he's a born and bred punk rocker-
Steve Jocz -AKA "Stevo" Born July 23, 1981. He is best known for his drumming in the Canadian pop punk group Sum 41. A tremendously fast and awkward drummer, he knows how to turn the ambiance of a song instantaneously. One of the minority of punk drummers that is able to slide in cheesy metal rolls and get away with handling it. He is also well known for his lavatory humour which is a known sign of punk maturity/immaturity- you decide!
Travis Barker Born on November 14, 1975. Arguably best known for his drumming in Blink 182 he has also banged away for countless other groups. Travis sits in at number 4 not just because of his notable speed and timing but because of his broad collection of techniques from Hip-hop to Punk, Pop to even Country.
Tré Cool (real name Frank Edwin Wright III) Born 09/12/1972. Tré is 1 of the original (pretty much) 3 piece that are Green Day. Leaning a lot more to the pop aspect of punk as a drummer, Tré positively assisted Green Day reach the world audience that thrust them to superstars. If he been just an extra, breakneck speed, unoriginal drummer the group would have toiled to appeal to such a substantial marketplace.
Josh Freese Born on December 25, 1972. He is best known for his drumming in The Vandals however is capable of listing countless other groups and accomplishments. A breakneck speed drummer capable of slowing it right down and merge with the best and has played for Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson and Guns N' Roses as if to demonstrate the point. His solo recordings sometimes demonstrate a slower, more refrained drumming fashio showing that speed isn't all however for my part I prefer the Vandals sound.
Erik Sandin-AKA "Smelly" Born on July 29, 1966. Erik is the enduring drummer for NOFX. Erik was a founder part of the group however departed two years later in 1983. In 1986 he was convinced to re-join the group but suffered from heroin addiction till 1992 when he checked into a rehabilitation clinic and has been off the drugs constantly since. Whilst he might not be the top of everybodys list, for everybody that enjoys the perfection of NOFX then there is no competitor.

Even though Nicky has grown up (a little) and uses his days working for http://www.callhandling.org.uk/virtual_pa.php, he has always been a giant supporter of punk. Even his hair's a fair bit more acceptable nowadays too.
